Jim Baen has passed on

And that's sad news indeed. In my earlier plea for good kharma, I noted he was ailing, but I had no idea the prognosis was so hopeless. Dave Drake, his personal friend for many years, wrote his obit on his website, and has put Jim's passing into words far better than I ever could.
