Antietam.. Mega Miniatures battle

Mister Nizz

Just got this in the email:

Gentlemen and Ladies:

There are still some very nice command slots still available for our September 30 - Oct 2nd mega miniatures battle, Antietam.

The battle will be fought on three beautiful terrain tables (panels prepared by Doug Kline, Battlefield Concepts).

Terry Sirk, renowned figure painter and historian (he walked A.P. Hill's route from Harper's Ferry to the battlefield when he was only 15 years old!) and Col. (Ret.) Bill Gray (who wrote his doctorate thesis on the battle) will be our guides for the most interesting Battlefield Walk you ever had. Meet at the Visitors Center at 9:00am on Friday.

If you cannot do the Friday Battlefield Walk, The Army War College will provide a tour of its famous Museum and Library at 2pm.

Following dinner at 5:00pm, the Army CinC's will hold an organizational meeting at their respective HQ's.
The action will start at 7:00pm (0600 historical time) with Nigel Marsh Chief Umpire, John Snead and Frank Luperti as our scenario Umpires.

Artist Keith Rocco will join us on Friday evening to discuss is wonderful Civil War and Napoleonic Art.

We start off at 9:00am on Saturday morning with nonstop play (breaking only for meals) when Scott Mingus and Jim Birdseye will discuss the Battle and Morale, respectively.

At 9:00pm Author John "Mike" Priest, Author of Antietam, The Soldiers Battle will discuss his book with us.

Sunday we complete the battle action and, after check out at noon, settle down to our famous awards banquet and hear from our Chief Umpires.
