Bravo, Joe Dever

The Project Aon gamebooks, adventure gamebooks from the 1980s called the "Lone Wolf" series, have been available online for free download or online viewing since 1999. Free does not mean "free to sell or distribute" though. The rights of the authors and the primary illustrator, Gary Chalk, are protected through the Project Aon license, which can be viewed here.

I'm about seven years late discovering this, but I'm very pleased with Joe's decision. I always enjoyed the adventure gamebooks from the 1980s, particularly the English ones that seemed so intricate and well thought out, like the Stephen Jackson series.
