Nats stomp the Phillies, 6-0

Being season ticket holders, Gar and I got a special after-game invite from the Nationals Events Staff. We (and five gazillion of our closest friends) were invited to tour the stadium, get some barbecue, listen to some tunes, get some free chotchkeys and meet some of the players.

The game was fantastic. The Nats handed the Phillies a thorough drubbing, shutting them out 6-0. There were even two home runs (you see one of them completing, above).

The stadium was a mob scene and we had to wait almost two hours in line while the crowd trickled through security. Sigh. Once we got inside, however, we really enjoyed ourselves. Gar got to run the bases and we hung out on the edge of the few "gimme this" crowds.
It got a little frightnening to let Gar walk away from me, so we ditched trying to get autographs.
