And High Time! (HMGS)

I'm not one for quoting emails publically, so I won't do it here. Let's just say that I get CC'd on a lot of this tournament blowup (specifically, about the issue in the previous post). I'm pleased to see the log jam breaking up, probably as all sides concerned are now realizing we're a scant 50 odd days out from HISTORICON and the time has come to quit bitching, sharpen our collective pencils and find a compromise that works.

Duncan Adams (Events Coordinator) has come under fire quite a bit, for being "rude", intractable, unrelenting. I prefer "direct" myself. In any event, the myth of the exile to the Showroom seems to (finally) have a stake in its heart, and there seems to be an effort made to accomodate the tournament's table requirements.

Check out his adroit maneuvering HERE on the TMP thread that once again accuses him of hatcheting the tournament space. I was impressed. Some of Duncan's comments on "group participation" are right on the money, and eerily echo my Cold Wars experiences.

We don't have to like each other, but we do have to pull as a team to get the cart moving in the right direction.
