HardCover Theater

is a theater in Minneapolis that specializes in bringing written work to the stage. The director in residence claims that they don't specialize in genre work but so far their season has included LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT and something called THE CLAMMY HAND OF MIDNIGHT RETURNS. This sounds like my kind of theater! Their latest play, debuting 11 May, is A PRINCESS OF MARS by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

The show is still getting ready at this point. I heard the director being intereviewed on the radio recently. He said they will boil the story down condierably but they do promise to be reasonably faithful to ERB's work.
