Another Point of Singularity

Word up! THE NIGHT STALKER, ABC's "X-Files Light" retread of the classic 1970s show, has been cancelled.

As you might have noticed if you read this blog even semi-regularly, I found myself liking NIGHT STALKER after a few false starts. However, as I stated in the previous posting, I didn't think it would last:

o it's intelligent, reasonably well-written and well-acted for what it is? What will the future hold? In a word, DOOM. It's good enough to not last for another year.

The last sentence may read oddly, but it's a comment on the current mindset of packaging TV pilots to fail. Mostly this is a phenomenon I ascribe to FOX Networks, but certainly other networks are going that way as well.

BTW, I tried to use an image from the NIGHT STALKER website on ABC.COM, and guess what? The Night Stalker Website is already down!
