An interesting wargaming coincidence

Mister Nizz

Coincidence? You be the judge!

In my previous post on Thanksgiving, I mentioned visiting the Courthouse Civil War Museum in Winchester, VA. The museum was, at one time, used as a jail for captured Union prisoners of war. Apparently they liked to draw graffitti on the original plaster walls, which has become something of an archeological bonus for the place, and they display selected items prominently.

Mike Reed, Italy in our current Diplomacy game SINGULARITY1, read that bit, checked out the graffitti research page and pointed out two famous names coincidental to wargaming:

David "Civil War Brigade series" Powell (number 1) and
Charles "ASL" Kibbler (sp) (number 8)

Just a small bit of serendipity for all us geeks..
